There is one $5000 scholarship available.

Eligibility

Scholarships are awarded based on demonstration of leadership, academic achievement and community involvement.

Applicants must be a registered band member of the Unama’ki District, currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate level certificate, diploma or degree program, or a recent (2025) graduate of a recognized Forestry program.

How to Apply

Applicants are asked to submit:

  • A two-page double-spaced essay emphasizing present and future contributions to forestry within the Mi’kmaw community;
  • A transcript of marks from your university or college;
  • A letter of recommendation from a professor or advisor.
